a saxon class

Structure
A one hour coach led session focusing on constantly varied functional movement performed at a high intensity. Progressing through our programmed workout of the day each class will include a warm up, a break down of the workout, a strength or skill element followed by a metabolic conditioning piece. Every day is different!
Movements Our classes utilise a wide variety of training methods to help us build fitness across ten physical domains; accuracy, agility, balance, cardio-respiratory endurance, coordination, flexibility, power, speed, strength and stamina. We use gymnastics, weight lifting, strongman training, conditioning tools and traditional cardio work to build a broad level of fitness. Weight lifting We use both power lifting (deadlift, squat and bench press) along with Olympic lifting (clean and jerk and snatch) to help us build strength and power. Developing a strong physicality will help you move better, live longer and burn fat. Gymnastics Moving our bodyweight is one of the best ways to get fit safely. From pull ups and push ups to handstands and rope climbs we use gymnastics to build strength and body awareness in a safe and efficient manner. Mobility Moving well with a good range of motion is key to a long and pain free life. We mobilise before each session, to increase our active range of motion in each and every joint, helping protect against injury and prevent stiffness in later life. Cardio It’s not all about lifting weights and doing pull ups. A large part of what we do is about increasing our heart and lungs ability to power our body. The foundation of all fitness is in our ability to keep moving. We use a variety of methods to get our heart rate high and our lungs working hard!
